"Our Applebee's Fundraisers have each been such a success for Furry Kids, we hope that we can out-do ourselves during this year's event with our goal to raise at least $2500. This is a celebration for all of our 2008 successes and an opportunity to show our appreciation for our volunteers, supporters and this great community - all without whom we would not be able to continue save the lives of hundreds of animals each year." In recognition of the generosity of this community to Furry Kids Refuge, tickets purchased in advance of the event will be offered at a special early bird rate of $5 each and will be available for online purchase or at Furry Kids’ Refuge adoption events, held each Saturday at Lee’s Summit Petco (1860 N.W. Who We AreWe are a group of individuals who work with other groups and shelters to save innocent pets from euthanization. Most shelters are overflowing with too many animals. This means many animals will be euthanized. For this reason, we are in continuous rotation of foster animals within our own homes. Due to lack of space and finances we can only save what our homes will hold. These pets are given temporary homes until we can find them a forever home. We also promote low cost spray and neutering.Adopting a friendBy adopting one, you are actually saving two! Your adoption allows us to save another life.A new companion requires a lot of time and attention. Please consider the following things before you adopt. We have a two week trial adoption period to ensure everyone's happiness.
